like Perl? like kids? want to write a book?

i direct you to this. if you don't already know nat, you may find it useful to drop my name. unless you're going to make a totally halfassed proposal, in which case you should drop [livejournal.com profile] waider's name instead.

(i don't think Perl is actually a requirement, but it will score you a bunch of points.)

Perl is my favorite language...

then you'd just love nat. he's the project manager for perl 6. among numerous other things, including funniest person i've ever met in my life, father of my two favorite kids ever and husband of my best friend.

nat rocks. if they ever perfect human cloning, i'm so ordering one of him.

If it's the same Nat who co-wrote 'Perl Cookbook' then I already like him. :-) That book has saved my butt (as well as several of my cow-orkers) many times...

yep, that's the one. i'm always so pleased when i walk by someone's cube at work and see it on their desk.

of course, while i'm pimping my friends' books, i should also mention the mighty [livejournal.com profile] boutell's latest collaboration, Windows and Linux Integration. i sure could've used this book five years ago, you lazy bastards.

any of the rest of you scurvy dogs published lately? i can't think of anything.

Eh. Perl is like the vice-grips of programming languages. You can do anything
with it, and it's the wrong tool for everything.

I think the official term is "swiss army chainsaw".
