covetousness and home geeking
so flipping through the Brylane Home catalog today, i stumbled across this coverlet and shams. the picture in the print catalog does it more justice; it really is a lovely fabric. and i am lusting after it. it would look fabulous in my bedroom. it's also machine-washable, and not being an overstuffed comforter, would actually fit in the washers in the basement so i wouldn't have to make a special trip to the laundromat every couple of weeks.
of course i can't afford it. even cheap king-size bedding is expensive. and i'm not going to buy it, because other great bedding will come along someday when i can afford it, and i don't really need it right this minute; the comforter set i have is getting a bit threadbare and has an ink stain on it, but it's still fairly attractive.
but it sure is pretty.

get it!
I splurged a while back on a duvet cover that was WAY expensive at Pottery Barn. But I like it, and am enjoying the hell outta it. :D
Plus, being a coverlet, you can just take it off the duvet and its fairly easy to wash... just stuffing the duvet back is a pain in the arse.
