it's like this
Apr. 1st, 2003 01:06 pmlately i haven't felt much like writing about serious personal stuff here, but that doesn't mean i haven't been thinking about it. ( actually, i've been thinking about it a lot. )
on the other hand, i love my bank. it's a small bank with only eight branches, all on the SF penisula, but in the almost nine years since i've had my account with them, they've never once made a mistake. the tellers greet me by name and make conversation. today another customer came in with a toddler, and one of the tellers who wasn't busy stamped his hand with a Mickey Mouse image, lifted him up onto the counter, and asked him how old he was. he was too entranced by the Mickey Mouse stamp to reply, however -- he just sat there crooning "Mickey Mouse! Mickey Mouse!" over and over, much to the amusement of all; when i left, four tellers and two customers were gathered around chatting about the weather and playing with the kid while his grandmother made a deposit.
Pacifica is a wonderful place to live.
