i am mighty

as of today, i am officially back on top of my finances. this means that i was able to write my rent check without having to borrow money from anywhere or put off another bill to make sure the check would clear. indeed, even after paying all my bills, my bank balance remains, barely, in four figures.

god damn that feels good.

with the next check, i start paying down credit card balances in larger-but-manageable chunks. i can't get too crazy with that since i don't know how long it'll take me to find more work once this contract is up, but hopefully by the end of the year i'll have my debt (excluding the car) back under five figures. ultimate goal: zero debt by the end of 2004.

and then maybe i can start thinking about buying a house.
