end of an era

boutell shut down nerdsholm, the talk.bizarre MUD, today. over ten years it had grown into an outstanding online community, but in the last few months it had been suffering in various ways, and Tom finally decided it was too far gone to salvage.

i think he probably made the right decision, but i'm still sorry to see it go. it's been a big part of my life for a very long time -- at times it's been my only social outlet and source of support. i'll miss it a lot.

thanks, Tom, for keeping it alive for so long. it was a real achievement, building a community like that, and you should be proud.

the depression, the lethargy, the lack of appetite, all that i can deal with, although it's unpleasant. but i sure do wish i could stop gritting my teeth. that's really starting to get to me.
