my goodness.
Nov. 10th, 2003 10:27 ami just talked to a customer service rep at EquiServe about those mysterious AOL shares. i asked if there's any possibility this is a mistake and they're not really mine. she said nope, they're mine. i'm not sure i believe her. i mean, ok, there's no mistake on EquiServe's part. but was there a mistake on AOL's part?
searching the AOL website, i was unable to find their switchboard number, so i called Netscape. they gave me the AOL switchboard number. AOL's switchboard transferred me to a recording about the recent AOL/Time Warner name change (evidently, the company is now called "Historic TWX"), after which i was disconnected. poking around the Time Warner website, i was again unable to find a switchboard number, but did at least find an email address for their investor relations department. so i've emailed, explaining the situation and asking for someone to contact me and explain where these shares came from.
we shall see.
