no news of import.
May. 6th, 2004 03:25 pmi've done nothing of note but get stuck by a needle and pee in a cup. the doctor said she'll only call if the results are positive for diabetes or pre-diabetes, and i have no idea how long the testing takes, so i guess i'll just hang out in limbo a while on that one. she thought that based on what i told her (including family history) it's far more likely to be a medication side effect, but we'll see.
last night i had butternut squash ravioli with the obligatory sage brown butter. ever so exciting. Daddy-O was extra pestiferous this morning, for no reason i can readily identify. i chatted with my dad briefly to verify that there's no family history of thyroid problems (there isn't) and he said he and my mom are both doing "pretty darned well," which is a moderately startling development since i can't remember the last time they were doing better than "not too bad," but requires no particular action on my part. i suspect they are so pickled that, like keith richards, they will simply continue on in their decrepit state for centuries, possibly millennia.
amazing, isn't it, how i can write two paragraphs about absolutely nothing?
