the feline underground

just now, iceberg was yowling in the bathroom for some reason. i went in to make sure he wasn't hanging terrified from the ceiling, and found him sitting on the floor beneath the vent fan, looking up. then another meow. coming from the vent. iceberg immediately responds with a flurry of curious yowls. another meow from the vent. oh god, what if they've evolved language? what if they're plotting to rise up and destroy us? the day i have always feared has come to pass!

then i went in the living room and rattled his mousie toy. he was at my feet before i could say "mousie!"

oh yeah, cats have ADD. they've come this far, though -- how much longer can it be till they discover Ritalin?

soon, they'll be controlling everything.
