Apr. 24th, 2006 01:32 pmi finally worked up the nerve to call Chase and ask why the fuck i haven't received my title yet, since i made my final payment in February. get this: they say i had a $13.27 late fee outstanding (now, thanks to interest, up to $18.25). however, they made no attempt to notify me of this beyond having my number autodialed by their customer service department -- and their autodialer doesn't leave messages if it gets voicemail. they did not have a human being call, nor did they send me any paper mail. during the same period i've received several credit card offers from Chase, as well as offers to extend me a new loan should i wish to buy another car immediately.
i asked politely, several times, why no other effort was made to contact me, but of course the customer service guy had no answer for this, nor did he extend the courtesy of a simple apology.
so i paid the damn thing off (including an outrageous $15 fee for a check by phone) and was promised that delivery of the title will be 'expedited'.
if i don't have that title in my hands by Friday, i'm going to call back, demand to speak to a supervisor, and raise holy hell. fucking morons.
