before i go

i'd really like to see people before i leave for Texas. i'll only be here for another week -- i plan to leave next Sunday, the 23rd, early in the morning -- so if you want to see me, it's time to make plans.

here's what my schedule looks like at the moment:

7/14, Today: nothing planned
7/15, Saturday: lunch with petekwando and kratkrat. stoat coming by with moving boxes around 3pm.
7/16, Sunday: meeting up with ronebofh and 2wanda sometime in the afternoon.
7/17, Monday: massage at noon in exchange for my spare printer
7/18, Tuesday: 'runch' in SF with mister_borogove.
7/19, Wednesday: nothing planned
7/20, Thursday: nothing planned
7/21, Friday: nothing planned
7/22, Saturday: dinner with Warren and Shirley

there are certain people i'd especially like to see -- i owe lunch to mister_borogove, i've got a book for ronebofh, and loosestrife needs to exchange a couple of my books for that set of wineglasses i promised -- but if i know you, i'd like to see you before i go. i also have a couple of boxes of books you're welcome to pillage.

my car is legal now, so i can travel; let me know if you can't make it here, and i'll see if i can make it to where you are.

i could also REALLY use help loading my trailer on Saturday the 22nd. if you're willing to help carry boxes, you're more than welcome, plus you can join me and Warren and Shirley for delicious Thai food afterward if you like.

it would really suck to have a repeat of my departure from Charlotte, where i didn't get to see anyone before i left. time to come out of the woodwork, y'all.

i just sold the Victrola to a guy who bought his first one two weeks ago at an auction, fell in love, and wanted mine to send to his brother in South Carolina as a housewarming gift. makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. the Oliver went on Wednesday, and while i was sorry to see it go, i've still got my pristine old Smith-Corona manual to keep me company. three of the five bookcases and my dresser have also gone. i've had no bites on the ad for my printer so i'm going to post a new ad trying to barter it for a massage before i go. i'm going to try to give away my sofa, king bed frame, desk, and TV stand, and sell the kitchen table and chairs and the antique steamer trunk.

i need to get off my butt and start packing the clothes i won't need to wear before i leave, and transfer the contents of my balcony to the dumpster, but things are coming along pretty nicely, all told.
