Ducks. 

My hotel is infested with ducks. Duck shaped soap, ducks on the towels, ducks 
on the menu, the Mallard bar, duck pictures, a duck store, and 
yes genuine ducks that live in the lobby fountain. We were done with our 
exciting day by noon so we got back in time to see the "march of the ducks". 
A red carpet was rolled up to the fountain, martial music was played, and the 
ducks were marched up to their second floor "duck palace". It is the most 
exciting thing I have seen in Little Rock. We do have an incentive to remain 
alert. It seems next to the FDA location in an army base where they are 
shipping germ warfare materials for incineration. If they goof an alarm will 
sound and we are supposed to run for one of the pressurized shelters on site. 
I'm keeping a good distance from the neighborhood tractor trailers. Of course 
that might explain the ducks in the hotel lobby. 

i think it's the sentence, "It is the most exciting thing I have seen in Little Rock" that gives this email such unexpected beauty.
