interview prep

just the usual pre-interview stuff. polished my shoes, did laundry, printed fresh resumes, assembled writing samples, dug out and stocked briefcase, gave myself a facial. tonight i'll hem the pants while i watch TV. (why are dress pants always too long for me? i'm 5'6" -- that's neither short nor tall, but a touch above average. yet for some reason, women's dress pants are always an inch and a half too long for me. do they assume you'll be wearing 3" heels? why? where do women wear 3" heels with pants for work anymore, and why hasn't anyone told them the 70s are over?)

so anyway. other than that, leftovers, plant-watering, and reading. a supremely relaxing day, in fact.
