nothing interesting to say

wore the jeans and the shirt yesterday. they were a hit.

i've been pretty much working, and getting the hell away from the computer when i'm not to save my wrists, which always start to ache a little when i'm in a writing-intensive phase of a project. also, my neighbor Shirley brought me some lasagna the other night after i turned down her kind invitation to join her and her husband for dinner because i had a steak on the grill already. so nice of her! it was good, too -- i just ate the last of it for lunch. i gave her some fresh rosemary and thyme from my balcony, which made her insanely happy.

this is perhaps the best thing about growing herbs -- you usually have more than you can use, and people are so ridiculously pleased when you share.

i've finished two chapters of the GeneSpring manual since last Wednesday. and now, i will go start on chapter 3!

oh, there was one interesting thing

when i got to the Starbucks on Fillmore this morning, there was some sort of dog convention going on. or at least, that's what it looked like. there's one dog that's usually tied up outside when i get there -- his owner hits the cafe a little before i do -- but today there were two big dogs tied to the parking meter out front and six smaller ones tied to the front door. considering how many dogs there were in such a small space, they were all remarkably well behaved.

anyway, you know what i have to say:

it was a party! it was a big dog party!
