today, i have a phone interview with Maxis, for a 2-month contract. there's no significant possibility for it to go permanent, but hey, it's work. and it's work for somebody cool.

the guy from maxis never called. about 15 minutes after he was due to, i called the recruiter i spoke to there and left her a message. no word from either of them yet.

sigh. i mean, i'm sure i'll hear back from them tomorrow or something, but jeez. this is so frustrating.

update

coq au vin a rousing success (with leeks!). another resume bite, phone screen tomorrow at 2pm. again, however, contract work -- 6 months or so, and that's a long time for me to go without insurance.

but if they pay well enough, well, i could always pay the doctor out of pocket.
