good dreams

i had a wonderful dream last night in which i got to take Daddy-O everywhere i went. while i worked, he napped on my desk. in restaurants he sat at my feet, awaiting a treat. people thought he was great and he got lots of petting and attention, and i got to snuggle with him whenever i wanted.

i awoke to find him pressed up tight against my back, purring up a storm.

i never, ever learn.

(edited to add a bunch more garden geeking because i don't want to lie down like my body is telling me. but now i'm really going. honest. no, i mean it this time.)

the migraine i've been living with since sunday decided to flare into ugliness this morning, so i didn't go to work. instead, i hung around in bed till i felt a bit better, ate some soup and toast, and then thought i'd go outside and plant my new tomatoes and peppers before they die in their little plastic containers. that was around 1pm.
