also, i bought a 1966 Random House unabridged dictionary in a thrift store, where i had a very interesting conversation with the proprietor. she asked where i work, and i told her, and she told me her son is really into the Sims. then she said he also plays some online multiplayer shootemup -- and recently the US military contacted him and said that based on his performance in the game, they'd like him to enlist in the military.

shades of "the last starfighter." creepy.

i just don't know...

lately i've had this strange desire to get a tattoo involving the old Eveready cat logo. i was thinking of just the circle and what's inside it (and, obviously, the circle would be completed, and it wouldn't say EVEREADY on top). i'm not sure whether i'd want to include the words "NINE LIVES" or not.

but if anyone's got nine lives, it's me, yes?

so far all my tattoos are pretty abstract, and in all black. this would be a very different sort of thing. but i've always loved that logo. because how can you not love a cat with lightning shooting out of its ass jumping through the number 9?

i just don't know where the hell i'd put it. i don't think i want another shoulder tattoo, but where the hell else would it work?
