justjenine's kitty Roxanne went missing last weekend and it's pretty clear at this point that she won't be coming back. (she was quite elderly and arthritic, and there are predators in the area, and for this particular cat not to be home for dinner speaks volumes.)

i'll miss you, Roxie. you had a lovely, long, silky, elegant coat that i loved to pet. you always remembered me when i went to visit, and sat on my lap purring, and often cuddled up with me at night as well. your company helped me not miss my own cats so much while i was visiting your people.

i hope your end was quick and painless, and that you're chewing on a catnip mousie in the cat afterlife as we speak.

it's really pretty difficult to find a hilariously awful ad in the w4m section, at least from my POV. it seems pretty obvious to me that many of the ads are written all wrong to appeal to a man, but beyond that, most of the scary ones seem to be from men anyway.

conclusions: craigslist personals are a gold mine for men who like smart chicks with meat on their bones, and socially impaired men who like hookers and men who pretend to be hot asian chicks.

for everybody else, it is pure lowbrow entertainment. so lowbrow, it's actually more like a beard.
