even in the earliest days of the net, we had programs to translate english to valspeak.
madbodger oeven followed it up with spamspeak. there's a version for shakespeare out there as well, i recall.
but why, oh, why is there not an english-to-pimpernel translator?
or, to put it another way:
"Sink me! Whyever is it that no one has yet devised a dictionary exclusively for the purpose of translating the King's English to the dialect of that clever chap, the Scarlet Pimpernel? I'm told he's all the rage with the ladies this season."
