2005: year of health crises

first i had to go to the ER with mysterious abdominal pain.

then mister_borogove had to get a root canal.

yesterday my boss was out almost the whole day, first at the doctor, then picking up prescriptions.

now wouldprefernot is in the hospital awaiting biopsy results for what appears to be a malignant mass in his shin bone.

so far, i'm not liking how this year is shaping up. and shouldn't some people suddenly be having spectacularly good luck to balance out all the suckage? i mean, that's the way it works, right?

food report

one lamb chop, marinated in olive oil, garlic, black pepper, and rosemary, medium rare. one serving saffron and white truffle risotto. one serving roasted blue lake beans with olive oil, black pepper, and shaved parmesan.

hell yeah.

the risotto is subtle... i should've watered down the chicken broth a little, it was quite strong. i might even use a different cheese... it was v. tasty, but seemed like it could have been better somehow.
