i have perfect pitch. which is pretty nifty, but has its downside.

just now i was listening to jazz via shoutcast. Billie Holiday. Dizzy Gillespie. Gene Krupa. Miles Davis. ('Sivad' is hands down the sexiest track i've ever heard.) and then, suddenly, out of nowhere: a Van Morrison track backed by an intentionally and utterly out-of-tune guitar. the next thing i know, the headphones are on the floor and i'm cowering against the wall of my cube with my hands over my ears.

it's not so much that it hurts as that it makes me feel like my skull just came to a sudden stop while my brain was pulling ten G's. fucking OW.

i want to listen to some great jazz piano players. (in the more traditional sense, not the whacked out acid jazz experimental sense.) any suggestions on where to start?

i think what's so interesting about jazz is that everybody plays with everybody else, so listening to one artist sends you on a quest for who that was on the trumpet, which leads you to seek out someone else he played with... and the next thing you know, it's TROMBONE SOLO time.

and suddenly, i get what jazz fans are on about.

Bras Etc. has bras in band sizes from 26-52 and full and half cup sizes from A to N, including backless and strapless options from 32A to 52DDD. you have to pay $5 for the catalog, but i have yet to see a better range of sizes anywhere.

no pictures, alas. sorry, guys.

for the more creatively inclined ([livejournal.com profile] eridan...), here you can find info on bra patterns and tips on sewing your own custom bras.
