if it's not one drink, it's another
Nov. 22nd, 2005 05:42 pmso my brother calls me just now. yes, the same brother i haven't seen in five years and have spoken to on the phone twice during that time. where do you think my brother, who lives in Baltimore, is calling from? that's right, he's calling from CA rte. 1, headed south from Sonoma. apparently, he's been on a winery tour. he won it for selling the most tequila drinks of any bartender in Baltimore over the summer. and it just happened to bring him to the bay area. where his sister lives.
anyway, he wants to grab lunch tomorrow. if this actually occurs -- which i wouldn't count on, because Things Happen To Us -- i will have seen my brother twice in a 15-year period. i'm not sure i can handle this much closeness. it's making me feel claustrophobic.
anyway, when you figure out the logic behind awarding a winery tour for selling tequila, you let me know. either way, this is a classic example of the Tanner Weirdness Magnetism at work. if something that makes absolutely no sense is going to happen, it will happen to one of us, guaranteed.
