what was it we called our computerized xmas display that year we came in second at Stuart Woods because obviously someone had blown the judges? i remember it was mightily prolix but i can't quite pick the words out of the fog. something like "Ostentatious Technicolor Nativity Unlimited?" but not quite that. i think at least one of the first two words is wrong. "technicolor" has too many syllables, and wasn't there some dig at consumerism buried in there?

anyway, this makes it look like child's play. fire up those Atari 800s, man! you have a reputation to defend! hell, if i wasn't so broke i'd fly out there and help. i recommend ELO. something from "Time," perhaps? (is that what you want? is it what you really want?)

i've been on an alcohol-free diet for a while because finances don't allow for such extravagances, but i splurged the other night and bought a $5 bottle of 1991 Corvo Rosso. it's a surprisingly good wine for $5. i'd expect to pay about $12 for a wine of equivalent quality -- it's not fantastic, but it's quite nice, a mellow, moderately complex Italian red with a little tannic depth. made mostly from nero d'avola grapes. i'll be looking for more from this label.
