my kind of monday morning

i woke to the sight of snow and ice on the ground and in the trees here, and tiny, tiny icicles forming on the eaves. they're predicting sleet and freezing rain (with scattered flurries) for today and SNOW for tomorrow. SNOW!!!!!

in other news, i got a bite on my resume today in the form of an email from the VP of Borland's Austin R&D division. i am most encouraged by this development.

downside: i have to go out and drive in this... which is no problem for me, since i grew up in places it happens all the time. it's all the other drivers that worry me.

Update, shortly thereafter: the VP got back to me with thanks for my quick response, called my background "impressive", and said he'd forward my resume to his hiring manager immediately.

damn straight, my background is impressive. only the very finest matte painters for me, baby!
