good: it's my birthday
bad: i'm 40
good: my fabulous housemates got me a 2gb mp3 player
bad: it won't read the format i've already ripped half my CDs into
good: it snowed
bad: then it sleeted and rained and now it's melting
on balance, though, i'd have to say 40 is pretty decent so far.
can anyone recommend a windows app that will mass-convert m4as into mp3s and automatically delete the originals? i've got 45gb worth of the things, and no space for duplicates. (in fact, i've been having to prune the collection to make room for swap space. i gotta get a bigger hard drive.)
Update: i just discovered the joy of JHymn. if you've got .m4a files to convert, it will be your friend. (but if you've got 4000+ songs to convert like i do, it'll take a while...)
