mountain_laurelon my way out to pick up fresh guitar strings, i passed a couple of teenage girls on the corner outside the high school, waving "HONK FOR PEACE" signs. no one was honking. i did honk, but when i came back by a half-hour later on my way home, they were already gone.
also, a guy pulled up next to me as i was leaving the Safeway to ask me for directions to his probation officer. i guess i must've looked like i might know.

The counseling center to the left of Safeway does a lot of court-mandated groups, so the person likely thought that you looked like a counselor.
And northern San Mateo county probation is at 1024 Mission Street in SSF.
