i got a response to that personal that was 1) coherent and grammatically correct, 2) interested, and 3) lacking in red flags other than "recently divorced", which is a flag but not an actual flaming one. did a web search on the guy's name (because hey, that's what you do these days, right?) and found that he's director of marketing for a web services company in the valley, so at least i know he's not an unemployed freakazoid. he says he just moved to pacifica and is looking for people to hang out with. he wanted to know if i'd like to get together later today.
so i figure, hey, what have i got to lose? i told him i could meet for coffee this afternoon or really early evening, but have an appointment at 7. otherwise i could meet up anytime this week.
i feel remarkably unstressed.

Date: 2003-06-09 02:35 pm (UTC)Go you! Have a wonderful coffee appointment. And remember, it's not a date. Oh wait, wrong guy! Thank heavens for that.
I have a feeling that this one will be much easier to get along with. Enjoy your evening.
