there is no way to ask someone to stop forwarding you "funny" emails without offending them.
in other news, the grip of the obsessivestorythatmustbewritten has loosened enough to allow me to get some work done. and about fucking time, too.
speaking of fucking time, maybe this weekend i'll finally let the protagonists have sex. i've managed to keep them hanging for a year and a half of plot time so far... the poor things are practically beside themselves. last night, Khalid actually held a gun to someone's head for interrupting a long-awaited dalliance before it could really get started. i think he's getting desperate.

Date: 2004-12-17 07:50 pm (UTC)Mostly I just ignored it, checking only to see if it was actual, real e-mail she sent me, on a personal one-to-one basis (I do actually get actual e-mail once a while, believe it or not!), but otherwise I just trashed it by reflex.
One day she sent out a furious rant to her list (which was sizable) about how SOME people didn't appreciate all her hard work sending out all this e-mail, about how hard she had to work to collect and distribute it, and the great sacrifices she had made so we would get something interesting to read from her every day, no matter if she was sick or on vacation. At the end of the long screed, she snarled that never again would she ever send any more of her interesting e-mails out to us ungrateful wretches, ever.
And her entire mailing list breathed a great sigh of relief.
