This morning in the shower and on the way to work I wrote some lyrics to:

* A sad little ballad that Kaleja's father used to sing when K was just a wee little thing
* A bawdy sea shanty which roughly translates to "The Ballad of Willy Sticket." The refrain, naturally:

you must teach it to me. just because my erstwhile partner in piracy is no longer a part of my crew doesn't mean i can't at least contemplate the possibility of performing sea shanties -- preferably as non-PC as possible.

ideally, we should go out and get royally pissed and stomp around the city singing it at the top of our lungs, but i'll settle for lyrics and a clue about the melody.
