news from the front

when i went to the drugstore today to pick up my prescriptions, the pharmacist said, "oh, you're the one with the really great answering machine message!" evidently they'd tried to call me earlier and whoever dialed the call liked my message so much they played it back to the whole pharmacy on speakerphone. i'd probably be much more amused by this if i didn't need a medication increase, but as is, all i can manage is a mild smirk of amusement. i'm feeling very numb at the moment.

i bought a little potted oregano, since it looked lonely. healthy enough, though, and a sprig of fresh oregano is called for in many recipes from my favorite cookbook. it smells much nicer than dried oregano.
