making the soup helped. i'm in a much better mood today. still not feeling very motivated, but i'll take what i can get.

the way my mind works

so i was telling jenine via IM that i need to do laundry before i leave for her place on tuesday. she said no problem, just bring dirty clothes and wash them there.

first thought: but what if my bags get inspected for explosives?
second thought: leave a note in the bag, wrapped in a pair of used panties, that says, "enjoy, big fella!"
third thought: what are the chances my bags will get inspected?
fourth thought: then again, a couple of years ago a guy pulled up beside me at a stoplight and asked, "pardon me, but would you have any Grey Poupon?" and i had stopped carrying Grey Poupon in my glovebox because i figured no one was ever going to ask me for any.

so. dirty panties and a note it is. do you think a lipsticked kiss-print on the note would be just too too?

it rained here today. rain. in july. in the bay area. what the fuck is that about? not that i'm complaining -- all day it's been warmish and ultra humid, with relatively still air, and it feels just like being home in Maryland. it's been nice.

god, i love humidity.

jeez.

i'm really, really tired. i wonder what that's about.

anyway, i decree that tonight's dinner shall be a green salad with champagne-orange vinaigrette and some grilled veggie kabobs. perhaps tomorrow i'll feel less like a wet dishrag.
