food. it's the best.
Aug. 1st, 2003 05:54 pmmet up today with bc,
palecur,
adw3345, and the latter's uncle Jimmy today at the Apple campus. (actually TomF was there briefly too, but fled before lunch.) an enjoyable chat was had by all. i bailed out a little before 2 to come home and do laundry -- which i actually am doing now, instead of procrastinating. as a reward, i am cooking spinach lasagna, completely from scratch. the sauce is simmering now, and water is heating for the noodles.
i've not traditionally had the best of luck with lasagna, so this time, rather than trying to follow any of the inadequate-seeming recipes i found online (most of which either involved using frozen spinach, vast quantities of greasy meat, or were simply adulterated with assorted non-spinach vegetables that do not, IMHO, belong in lasagna (such as broccoli and carrots), i'm improvising. i fully expect the result to be outstanding, because i am a fucking goddess.
the sauce smells fantastic. and the aroma has permeated the entire grounds of the building, possibly because of the six cloves of garlic.
let the neighbors suffer.
