state of the merde
Aug. 11th, 2005 09:13 ammy boss had asked if i wanted to have some sort of going away lunch or something on my last day. i said, "i don't know, i doubt anyone would come."
as i predicted, no one came. my boss left at noon friday, with a quick handshake and a "good luck." i was there till 5:30, wrapping up loose ends and packing my cube, but no one even came by to say goodbye. well, except the other writer, who will probably be getting my job now that i'm gone. i was neither surprised nor disappointed. grim resignation seems to be the best strategy for me the last few years.
the good news: my mysterious genital sore is crotch acne, not long-undiagnosed herpes. yay!
